Privacy policy

Who we are

Mokonzi Import Export Pty Ltd, trading as Mokonzi Group (Johannesburg, South Africa), runs mokonzigroup.company and the Mokonzi lead desk. We are the responsible party under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and act as a controller under the GDPR where it applies. Contact: info@mokonzigroup.co.za.

What we collect

• Details you give us: name, email, company, website, phone and what you tell us about your business.
• Order and payment records (reference, plan, amount, method). Card and PayPal details are handled by PayPal, never by us.
• Account data for lead-desk clients: login email, business lines, leads, letters and activity in your workspace.
• Basic usage analytics (pages visited, device type, approximate country) to improve the site.

Business contacts found by the lead desk

The lead desk reads publicly available posts and company pages to find businesses with a stated need. It writes only to business contact points published by the organisation itself, includes an opt-out in every letter, and permanently stops writing to anyone who opts out or asks to be removed. To ask what we hold about you or your company, or to be removed, email info@mokonzigroup.co.za with the word "remove".

How we use it

• To provide the service you ordered, send your login and run your workspace.
• To process payments and keep the records the law requires.
• To answer your questions and send service notices. We do not sell personal information.

Who processes it for us

Hosting and database (Netlify), email delivery (Resend), payments (PayPal and our bank), analytics (Google Analytics) and AI processing for scoring and drafting. Some of these operate outside South Africa; we use providers bound by data-protection terms adequate under POPIA section 72.

How long we keep it

Account and workspace data for as long as your subscription runs and 90 days after it ends, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Payment records for the period tax law requires (currently five years).

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, object to processing, or withdraw consent, by emailing info@mokonzigroup.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforeg.org.za, or to your local data protection authority.

Security

Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, sessions use secure cookies, every client sees only their own workspace, and access to our systems is limited to the people who need it.
